Regional Coordinator(s)
How to Apply/Volunteer
- Position is appointed or elected. Submit a volunteer/application form 30-days prior to the Annual Business Meeting held during the Annual Conference. If applications are not received prior to the Annual Business Meeting, volunteers will be accepted for consideration at that time.
Role and Responsibilities
- The primary responsibility is assisting the President and other officers in coordinating activities within the assigned region. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: communicating with states assigned to the respective region to obtain updated information and promote attendance, provide assistance and leadership to states assigned to the respective region to meet their needs and inform the Executive Board of any plans, developments or accomplishments related to the states assigned to the respective region.
Committees
All seven committees within the organization are intended to have an appointed Committee Chair that plans and oversees the work of the committee members. Committee Chairs are appointed by the President based on volunteers or other nominations. Committee members may be appointed by the Committee Chair or selected based on volunteers.
Program
Develop a high-quality program agenda for the Annual Conference with relevant, on-demand session topics that will benefit all attendees. Additionally, the committee is responsible for invitations and arrangements for all session speakers/presenters, obtaining and organizing all session materials, preparing setup for workshops and/or panel discussion, assigning moderators to open and moderate each session and assigning day captains to oversee the operations and needs of each day.
Membership
Update and maintain current membership information, develop strategies for recruitment of prospective agencies for membership, membership renewals, respond to all requests for information or inquiries pertaining to membership and to help the association achieve steady and healthy growth.
Corporate Member Development
Update and maintain current corporate membership information, develop strategies for recruitment of new corporate members, enhance relationships with existing corporate members, respond to all requests for information or inquiries pertaining to corporate membership such as available levels and benefits.
Training
Develops, plans and organizes appropriate and meaningful training programs, recruits training participants, collects and maintains records of training events and participants, coordinates and arranges for qualified instructors and training facilities and conducts evaluations for feedback to implement improvements.
Marketing & Communications
Directs the overall comprehensive marketing and communications strategy. The committee is tasked with insuring an active and consistent web and social media presence i.e. Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Audit
Perform internal review of the financial records and present report with any findings during the Annual Business Meeting.Continuing Professional Education (CPE) – review all annual program agenda and training activities to ensure compliance with the continuing professional education requirements as promulgated by the national granting authority, resolve complaints regarding CPEs, collect and maintain records of training participants and prepare and issue CPE certifications.
